I’m not really fond of the radio station concept. Again as much as I agreed with Gillette’s stance, if there is reason for me to try something of better quality for a reasonable price, I’m moving on. Did their crappy blades send me back to being a lifelong Gillette user a week later? Yes it did. But despite Dollar Shave Club taking the opposing stance to Gillette, did that stop me from trying their blades? Absolutely not. Of course many did and I was simply puzzled at why people would move away from a product I assumed worked well for them prior to the ad campaign. It’s just like the whole Gillette fiasco, I was already using Gillette when it happened and I personally took no issue with their stance. I’ve just never been one to let political boycotts or corporate endorsements influence my purchasing decisions - only quality and price matter to me.
